Silk 2 Systems is a premium brand of hair design, maintenance and educational products, exclusively created for professional salons and their clients. The brand is owned by the Searles Corporation, which is in turn owned by John and Cyra Searles of Atlanta. The Searles Corporation is the outgrowth of a sales rep organization created in 1981. The company began manufacturing its own products around 1983. The Silk 2 brand was born in 1988 and at this time the company changed its entire focus to support the professional salon market. With silk 2 in the lead, the Searles Corporation has grown to become a well respected manufacturer of professional hair care products. The company's early reputation came via quality in the Silk 2 Super conditioning Curl System. Since then, a host of technological breakthroughs as well as styling innovations have sustained the company's rapid growth.
