AHBAI members share their views on AHBAI
and the ethnic health and beauty aids industry:
"Over the past 16 years, there has been a
conscious effort for African-Americans to purchase from Black-owned companies.
Because AHBAI promotes the Proud Lady symbol, it has been able to push
the recognition of African-American owned companies forward."
Joe Dudley, Sr., President
Dudley Products, Inc.
"We are proud to be among the founding members of
AHBAI and are particularly proud of AHBAI's achievements,
most notably, the Entrepreneurial Leadership Conference,
Proud Lady Beauty Show, "Who's That Lady?" logo
promotion campaign and UNCF retailer promotions. I
distinctly remember when the association was founded,
most of those outside the association said that it would
never last. This association has not only lasted, but
thrived over the past 16 years."
Jory Luster, President,
Luster Products, Inc.
"Though AHBAI has developed programs to assist in
business and to assist students, our real impact has been
in allowing people to see what could be accomplished.
AHBAI members alone do not have the power to change Black
America, but we do have the power to inspire each
individual to change, to achieve and to be more than they
ever dreamed possible."
Nathaniel Bronner, Jr., Executive Vice President,
Bronner Bros.
